Rowing Records Nine Top-Three Finishes in Long Beach

Brophy Rowing had a successful weekend of racing in Long Beach with several top-three performances led by a first-place finish by Ian O’Riley and Cooper LaVoy in the Men’s C Double. 
  • Quincy Sweet - 3rd (Bronze) Men’s Under 16 single
  • Nate Crooks, Luke Chakmakian, Brody Buchanan, Michael Gonzales - 3rd (Bronze) Men’s B Quad
  • Brody Jennings - 3rd (Bronze) Men’s Under 17 single
  • Noah Sunshine, Brody Jennings - 3rd (Bronze) Men’s A Double
  • Blake Mahiney, Corey Milikan - 3rd (Bronze) Men’s C Double
  • Ian O’Riley, Cooper LaVoy - 1st (Gold) Men’s C Double
  • Logan O’Riley, Josh Murar - 2nd (Sliver) Men’s Under 17 Double
  • Mache Baasten, Drew Reddy - 3rd (Bronze) Men’s Under 17 Double
  • Ian O’Riley - 1st (Gold) Men’s Single
Brophy also had representatives at the San Diego Crew Classic with teams from the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Australia. The Broncos competed in the They rowed in the Men's Youth 4X Joan Ward Memorial Cup" event with a team including Michael Gonzales, ‘25, Brody Buchanan, ‘25, Luke Chakmakian, ‘25, and Nate Crooks, ‘25.

The team is now gearing up for the Youth District Championships in May.
