Academic Support for All Students

The ARC is open to all students and provides a variety of programs. Students who want to improve their study skills, students who seek subject-specific tutoring, and students with learning differences/disabilities who require additional assistance and advocacy can all find support through the ARC. Academic support includes:

  • Peer tutoring (National Honor Society)
  • Study skill instruction
  • Time management assistance
  • Brophy Testing Center

Supporting Students with Learning Disabilities

The ARC supports students' unique learning needs through collaboration with faculty, staff, students and their families. Brophy seeks to ensure that all students have equal access to educational and co-curricular programming by providing individualized services and reasonable accommodations to students with diagnosed learning needs and disabilities. Academic accommodations and learning support services must be implemented within Brophy's college preparatory curriculum. With a clear focus on rigor and readiness, faculty utilizes various instructional strategies and methods for promoting academic success.

A Student Support Plan (SSP) for a qualifying student with a diagnosed and documented learning difference/disability may include:

  • Testing accommodations, including a quiet setting and/or extended time on exams
  • Preferential seating in the classroom
  • Standardized testing accommodation planning
  • Homework management and goal strategy support
