The mission of the Brophy College Preparatory Health and Physical Education Department is to promote the physical, emotional, social and spiritual health of our students. To accomplish this, our staff will:
Instruct students to develop biomechanically correct and efficient movement patterns.
Endorse engaging in daily physical activity and consuming nutritionally sound food for life.
Convey an appreciation to God for the amazing gift of life.
Uphold sportsmanship and support the dignity of every human being.
Encourage students to make decisions for the greater glory of God.
Help students to see God in all things, including themselves.
Mr. Denk is a native of Ohio and an alumnus of St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland. After earning his Bachelor of Science in exercise physiology from the University of Dayton, he worked as the director of strength and conditioning at a sports medicine facility in Englewood, Ohio. In addition to teaching, he coordinates the strength and conditioning programs for all of Brophy's athletic teams.
