NO CUTS – Practice begins Monday August 8 at 6:00 a.m. in front of the school. The Cross Country team engages in long-distance running and has full competition meets on varsity, junior varsity and freshmen levels.
Cross country has a no-cut policy, but we do expect attendance for the 1-1.5 hour Monday through Thursday practices. Brophy Cross Country is a short season. Please schedule your extracurricular activities not to interfere with your training and meets. If you cannot commit to our time schedule, please do not join the team.
All team members will receive a uniform and will compete in all races except two (sectional and state meets) which are reserved for Brophy’s top seven runners.

NO CUTS. The first meeting is Monday August 8 immediately after orientation (11:30 a.m.) in the lobby of the gym. The meeting should be over before noon Tennis is a no-cut sport at Brophy. Freshman tennis begins on Tuesday August 9. The season runs through the first week in October. The practices and home matches are held at the Phoenix Tennis Center (PTC) at 6330 N 21st Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85015. Practices run from after school until 5:15 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
Transportation: A bus takes players to practice immediately after school. The bus leaves from the front of Loyola Hall at 3:00 p.m. Players can dress at the PTC. Players should be picked up at the Phoenix Tennis Center at 5:15 p.m. There will be a bus coming back to Brophy that leaves the PTC at 5:15 p.m. and arrives at Brophy around 5:30 p.m.
Golf is a Varsity-only sport open to students in all classes. Tryouts begin Monday, August 8 at Encanto Golf Course with a cut after round one. Greens fees are covered for round one but players must pay for their range balls if they choose to warm up before their round. Rounds 2, 3, and 4 will be held at Phoenix Country Club with a cut after rounds 2 and 4. The season runs through the first week of November. Practices and matches are typically held Monday through Thursday with tournaments played on the weekends.
Team shirts and hats (for matches and tournaments) can be purchased in the Brophy Varsity Shop. The team fee for the golf season is $50 (shirts/hats are not included).

The Brophy Basketball program is comprised of three teams (Varsity, JV, and Freshmen). Tryouts will begin on Monday, October 31. 2016 and will run for three days before cuts are made.
For interested freshman, Coach Cox will hold an informational meeting in October prior to tryouts. The meeting's date, time, and place will be included in the “Daily Announcements” email for students, so students should watch for that in October.
Practices for all three levels will take place six days a week. Players will have practices over both Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks.

NO CUTS. Wrestling is a no-cut sport at Brophy, however wrestle-offs are held (at times) to determine a starter in a particular weight class. Freshman, JV, and Varsity grapplers begin practice on October 31, 2016.
The uniform (a singlet) and match sweats are provided by Brophy; however, backpacks and season t-shirts and sweatshirts need to be purchased by team members through the Varsity Shop.

The Volleyball program, which includes varsity and junior varsity teams, competes during the spring. Each team carries between 12 and 16 players. Six spots on the JV team are reserved for 9th grade student-athletes, though additional freshmen have made the team in past years. There will be open gyms after school beginning in September. Dates and times will be announced in the Daily Bulletin.

Crew is a no-cut sport at Brophy and no experience is required. Dues cover everything during the year except uniforms. Crew is a year-round sport but athletes can choose to participate during just the fall or spring semester, if they want to do another sport.
