Application Process

Brophy takes a comprehensive look at all applicants for admissions; each applicant file includes an online application and essay, six recommendation forms, transcript of academic record from seventh and eighth grades, standardized test scores from seventh grade, entrance exam and exam essay, and personal interview.

We will open the application process for the Class of 2027 on Oct. 5. Applicants who complete our Inquiry Form prior to that date will be emailed a username and password to access the online application. After Oct. 5, please contact our office for login credentials.

Please note: This school is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students.

Class of 2027 Applicant Due Dates
  1. Receive login credentials from the Admissions Office prior to Oct. 5 via email if you submitted the online Inquiry Form. 
  2. Upload a copy of the applicant's birth certificate to the application portal.  
  3. HSPT Entrance Exam plus writing prompt will be offered at Brophy on Dec. 3 and Dec. 10, 2022. 
  4. Online application, including personal essay - due on 1/20/23.   
  5. Five required online recommendation forms (English, math, teacher of choice, principal/counselor, extracurricular) - due on 1/20/23. A sixth recommendation, Faith/Religious Leader, is optional. 
  6. Transcripts (seventh grade and first semester/trimester of eighth grade) - due on 1/20/23. 
  7. Standardized test scores (AzMERIT, ERBs, Iowas, etc.), if available, from seventh grade - due on 1/20/23. 
  8. Submit a personal video by uploading online to the application portal - due on 1/20/23.  
The HSPT Entrance Exam testing fee is $30 and is payable online at the time of test registration. 

The application fee is $60 and is payable online when you submit the application by 1/20/23. For information on qualifying for a waiver of the $60 application fee, contact the Office of Admissions.

Application decisions will be available online Friday, February 17, 2023, at approximately 4 p.m. Letters also will be mailed to all applicants and should arrive by the following Monday or Tuesday. Accepted students have three weeks to make a decision and must register for the 2023–24 school year by March 17.

Dec. 3, 2022 – HIGH SCHOOL PLACEMENT TEST (HSPT) ENTRANCE EXAM, check-in at 7:15 a.m.

Dec. 10, 2022 – HIGH SCHOOL PLACEMENT TEST (HSPT) ENTRANCE EXAM, check-in at 7:15 a.m.

Jan. 20, 2023 – All application materials due for Class of 2027 applicants

Feb. 17, 2023 – Admissions decisions are available online at 4 p.m.

Feb. 21, 2023 – Registration process opens for Class of 2027 accepted students

March 17, 2023 – Deadline for registering as a new student

April 3, 2022 – World Language Proficiency Exams (Spanish and Latin)

April 5, 2023 – Big Brother Welcome and New Student Night

May 1, May 3 and May 9 – Math Proficiency Exams (Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus)

May 30, 2023 – High School Summer School begins (credit classes)

June 30, 2023 – Summer School ends
