The Application Process

The Application Checklist for the Class of 2030 (fall 2025 rising eighth graders) will open on October 1 in the Admissions Portal.

Brophy takes a comprehensive look at all applicants for admissions; each applicant file includes school and activity information, applicant short answer essays, parent questionnaires, five required recommendation forms plus an optional pastor/faith leader recommendation form, transcript of academic record from seventh and eighth grades, standardized test scores from seventh grade, entrance exam and test day writing sample essay, and personal video.

Steps to Apply

Complete the online Inquiry Form (under Learn More). You will receive an email to create an account and password for the Admissions Portal.
Log in to the Admissions Portal and access the Application Checklist.
Upload a copy of the applicant's birth certificate to the Application Checklist.
Take the HSPT Entrance Exam at Brophy on Dec. 6 or Dec. 13, 2025.
Complete all Application Checklist items by Jan. 15, 2026 including five recommendation forms.
Request School Records (seventh grade and first semester/trimester of eighth grade and standardized test scores) to be sent to Brophy by Jan. 15, 2026.
Submit a personal video online to the Application Checklist by Jan. 15, 2026.

Deadline for all application materials is Jan. 15, 2026.

Decisions

Application decisions will be available online Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, at approximately 4 p.m. Letters also will be mailed to all applicants and should arrive by the following Monday or Tuesday. Accepted students have three weeks to make a decision and must register for the 2026–27 school year by March 12.

Fees
The HSPT Entrance Exam testing fee is $30 and is payable online at the time of test registration in the Admissions Portal.

The application fee is $60 and is payable on the Application Checklist in the Admissions Portal. For information on qualifying for a waiver of the $60 application fee, contact the Admissions Office.

Please note: This school is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students.

Important Dates

Dec. 6, 2025 – HIGH SCHOOL PLACEMENT TEST (HSPT) ENTRANCE EXAM, check-in at 7:15 a.m. Pre-registration is required in the Admissions Portal.

Dec. 2025 TBD - Makeup Entrance Exam Writing Prompt at 6 p.m. online if you take the HSPT Exam at a different high school.

Dec. 13, 2025 – HIGH SCHOOL PLACEMENT TEST (HSPT) ENTRANCE EXAM, check-in at 7:15 a.m. Pre-registration is required in the Admissions Portal.

Jan. 15, 2026 – All application materials are due.

Feb. 13, 2026 – Admissions decisions available online at 4 p.m.

March 12, 2026 – Deadline for enrolling as a Class of 2030 new student.

April 13, 2026 – World Language Proficiency Exams (Spanish and Latin).

April 15, 2026 – Big Brother Welcome and New Student Night.

April 27, April 28 and May 4 – Math Proficiency Exams (Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus).

May 26, 2026– High School Summer School begins (credit classes).

June 26, 2026 – Summer School ends.
