At Brophy, faith and justice are inseparable. Through retreats, service, prayer, and reflection, students are invited to grow in their relationship with God and recognize the dignity of every person. They learn to live with greater purpose and a deeper sense of responsibility to others.
A Defining Part of the Brophy Experience
The Office of Faith and Justice helps bring one of the most important dimensions of a Brophy education to life. Rooted in the Jesuit tradition, this work challenges students to grow not only in knowledge, but also in self-awareness and love of neighbor.
At Brophy, faith is not confined to a classroom or a chapel, and service is never treated as a box to check. Students are invited to reflect deeply, encounter the world beyond themselves, and consider how their gifts can be used in service of others. Across four years, they take part in retreats, service experiences, immersion opportunities, and moments of prayer that help shape them into men for others.
Service That Forms
Service is a vital part of life at Brophy and one of the clearest expressions of a faith that does justice. Students do not simply complete hours. They are invited into experiences that build empathy, deepen perspective, and call them to recognize the dignity of others.
As students move through Brophy, service becomes both more personal and more intentional. Some experiences are shared as a class. Others allow students to choose how they will engage more directly with the community. At every stage, reflection is essential. Students are encouraged not only to serve, but to consider what they are learning about themselves, their neighbors, and the kind of men they are becoming.

Formation Across Four Years
Faith and Justice at Brophy is not a single experience. It is a four-year journey shaped by retreat, service, reflection, and encounter. Students begin with shared foundational experiences and, over time, are invited into deeper reflection, greater responsibility, and more personal forms of engagement.
What starts with participation gradually becomes ownership. What begins as exposure grows into empathy, conviction, and a clearer sense of purpose. This is part of how Brophy forms men for others: young men who know themselves more deeply, recognize the dignity of others, and are prepared to live with faith, compassion, and responsibility well beyond graduation.
