A Look Back at the 2026 Brophy Power Breakfast
Each year, Brophy invites one or more guest speakers, usually members of the local and/or national sports community, to share their stories, including how education and life experiences formed them and the life lessons that have helped them attain professional success. At our 2026 Power Breakfast, we welcomed Steve Nash, 2x NBA MVP, 8x All-Star, and Phoenix Suns legend.
Proceeds from the 2026 Power Breakfast supported the Brophy Fund and Brophy's athletic facilities.

Power Breakfast History
The inaugural Power Breakfast, originally called the Sports Power Breakfast, kicked off in 2006 to raise money to build the Brophy Sports Campus (now the Graham Family Sports Campus). The guest speakers were Wayne Gretzky, Jeff Hornacek and Matt Williams. By the end of the morning, $1.4 million had been raised to help fund a new sports campus.
The Brophy Sports Campus was dedicated in April 2010. Brophy's president at that time, Fr. Eddie Reese, S.J., noted at the dedication, "Brophy has waited since 1928 to have enough playing fields and facilities. St. Ignatius always reminds us of 'the slow work of God' and we have sure been patient for this."
Proceeds from the annual Power Breakfast support Brophy's athletic programs and facilities.
