The 2020-21 Alumni Awards
Each fall, at the annual Father-Son Communion Breakfast, we honor two alumni for the ways they have embodied the profile of the Graduate after Graduation: Intellectually Competent, Religious, Loving, Open to Growth and Committed to Doing Justice. Although this year the breakfast may be postponed (due to COVID-19) until spring 2021, we are honoring our tradition of opening nominations on the Feast of St. Ignatius. Visit the links above to read the letter from President Adria Renke and Principal Bob Ryan, and to nominate an alumnus.
The St. Ignatius Loyola Award for Distinguished Service is presented to a Brophy alumnus whose life and life's work exemplifies a sustained commitment to Jesuit education. The St. Francis Xavier Award for Ignatian Identity is presented to a recent alumnus who has sought to deepen his commitment to the ideals of Jesuit education in remarkable ways.
The 2019 honorees, Mr. Paul S. Mulligan '88 and Mr. Joseph Novotny '03, were recognized at the Father-Son Communion Breakfast in November 2019. Nominations for the awards open annually on July 31 — the Feast Day of St. Ignatius.
