The 2020 Alumni Awards
Each fall, at the annual Father-Son Communion Breakfast, we honor two alumni for the ways they have embodied the profile of the Graduate after Graduation: Intellectually Competent, Religious, Loving, Open to Growth and Committed to Doing Justice. This year, the event was Nov. 21 and was hosted as a Father-Son Mass with the presentation of alumni awards.
The St. Ignatius Loyola Award for Distinguished Service is presented to a Brophy alumnus whose life and life's work exemplifies a sustained commitment to Jesuit education. This year, Brophy is proud to present the award to Frank Barrios '60.
The St. Francis Xavier Award for Ignatian Identity is presented to a more recent alumnus who has sought to deepen his commitment to the ideals of Jesuit education in remarkable ways. This year, Brophy is proud to present the award to Nick Staab '99.
Nominations for the awards open annually on July 31 — the Feast Day of St. Ignatius.
