Transferring to Brophy

Brophy accepts a limited number of transfer students each year. All transfer students join at the beginning of the school year — we do not accept students mid-year or mid-semester.*

We accept a limited number of students at the start of the 10th and 11th grades. We typically do not accept senior transfers who are coming from public schools because these students have not had the religious studies classes necessary to meet our graduation requirements. The number of transfer students accepted is based on the number of spots available once our current students have registered for the new academic year. 

The application process for transfer students begins in early March with all application materials due in early May. Decisions are ideally made in mid-June but can occur as late as early August. Please contact the Admissions Office in early March 2021 for an online application username and password if you are interested in joining us for the 2021-22 school year.

*If you are moving from out of state mid-year with a job transfer, or have an unusual situation, please contact the Office of Admissions for more information.

Please note: This school is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students.

Steps to Apply

  1. Complete and submit an online application which will become available in early March 2021. Please call the admissions office first for a username and password to access the application. 

  2. Pay your $80 fee online. If you applied to Brophy last year, there is no charge. Call our office to receive a waiver code for the online application.

  3. Submit the required recommendation and transcript documents by May 1, 2021, for the 2021-2022 school year. Recommendation forms and the Student Discipline Information form should be sent via email to teachers or the appropriate administrator, and are available within the application checklist. The Transcript Request form must be downloaded/printed and given to your school's Registrar. 

  4. Have a personal interview. All applicants are required to have a personal interview with a Brophy faculty member. We typically do these in April. Please call our office to set up an appointment. Interviews last approximately 20 minutes. If you are living out of town, we can schedule an online interview.
