Get to Know: Lacrosse's #1 Patrick Fischer

Patrick Fischer is in his second year with the varsity team and his third full season in the program. He has an older brother, Paul ‘22, who graduated from Brophy and attends Notre Dame, and a sister at All Saints. He likes to golf and play video games in his free time. 
 
Can you believe you are a senior in the last semester of high school?
“It is insane. I remember being a sophomore and being scared about the end of high school. It is already here. It is crazy.”
 
What are your goals for the season individually and as a team?
“The goal is not just about winning. I want to play for each other and stay united.”
 
Why do you wear No. 1?
“My first two choices (3 and 7) were gone. “
 
What are your college plans?
“I have been accepted to the University of Notre Dame. It has been my dream school my whole life. It was life-changing to get the acceptance. My whole life has led up to it.”
 
What have you done on campus besides lacrosse?
“I participated in the National Honor Society, Red and White Club, Bowling Club, and Fishing Club.”
 
What do you see as your role as you get ready for the season?
“I am a motivator and keep everyone on task. I want to be the guy who lifts everyone up.”
 
What does it mean to be on varsity full-time this season and go for a third championship?
It is special that I get to be part of a program that plays such a great schedule with teams from across the country. It is a nice experience.”
