Wrestling Wins Dual with Shadow Ridge

Junior Blake Sweetman won a 4-2 decision over Abel Garza, the defending champion, to highlight a 40-26 win over Shadow Ridge. Brophy improved to 11-2 on the season.
“We were a little rusty coming off the break,” said Head Coach Wayne Catan. “We are going to peak at the end of the season. As the match went on, the guys started feeding off each other. We had some good wins.”
The Broncos got victories by Adam Angulo at 144 via fall and Major Decisions by Cooper Carey at 157 (14-12) and Axel Lauer at 165 (10-5). 
The team wrestles at the Central Arizona Classic at Poston Butte on Friday and Saturday.
