Season for Sharing Shines a Light on Brophy Students Giving Back

At the beginning of each school year, the big red Assistance League "Delivering Dreams" bus, part of Operation School Bell, has pulled up in front of Brophy and distributed clothing, backpacks and more to the Loyola Academy scholars. Recently, the Arizona Republic awarded a Season for Sharing grant to the Assistance League and in doing so, they talked about how some of the past Loyola Academy recipients, now college graduates, have given back. one of them, Sebastien Ribakare '18, is now an Assistance League board member.

The photo is from August 2019 and shows four Brophy alumni who benefitted from the Assistance League when they were students at Loyola Academy, now volunteering their time helping to distribute clothing. From left to right: Axel Mendiola '19, Sebastien Ribakare '18, Freddy Soto '18 and Nelson de los Santos '18. All four are now college graduates and active in their communities as Men for Others.
