Swimming Hosts Last Chance Meet Looking to Improve Times

Sophomore Thomas McCauley recorded best times in both the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events at The Last Chance Invitational hosted by Brophy on Wednesday. It was the final opportunity to record times for consideration for qualification for the AIA State Championships.

McCauley was fourth in the 50 free (22.77) and fifth in the 100 freestyle (50.05). Teddy Neilson won the 200 individual medley in a season-best 1:55.91 and Nico Wood touched second in a season-best 2:01.45. Grady Garbarino won the 100-yard butterfly in 55.20 and Markus Crawford took the 500-yard free in 5:00.75.

Jackson Douglas had a season-best 55.24 to win the 100-yard backstroke.
