Swimming & Diving Wins Cummins Invitational

Brophy touched the wall first in four events and recorded 14 top-three finishes to win the Cummins Invitational team title with 486 points to easily outdistance Mountain View (326 points) in the team standings.

The Broncos won the 200-yard medley relay with freshman Finn Conley, senior Fischer Whitehead, junior Tristan Oudman, and senior Jackson Douglas, improving the team’s state qualifying time to 1:37.67.

Senior Theodore Neilson won the 200-yard freestyle in a state qualifying time of 1:44.72, while sophomore Mark Heffern took the 200 individual medley in 2:00.81. Senior Fiscsher Whitehead won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:02.29.

Brophy was second in both the 200-yard and 400-yard freestyle relays, earning an automatic time in the 400-yard relay with Heffern, Jackson Douglas, Nico Wood, and Asher Gomez.

Conley was second in the 100y butterfly in 53.35 with Wood close behind in 53.95. Conley also placed third in the 100y backstroke. Oudman was second in the 100y freestyle in 48.70.
