Cross Country 20th at Desert Twilight

Brophy finished 20th at the Desert Twilight Sweepstakes on Friday. Junior Santiago Sanchez was the top finisher in 15:57 in 32nd overall. He was followed by senior Jack Klyle (90th, 16:35) and senior Kenoby Hetman (115th, 16:55). Junior Ryan Rastad and sophomore Mason Cavallo rounded out the top five.
 
Brophy placed sixth in the Large Schools Freshman race and second in the Large Schools Open race. Diego Alejos and Colin St. Hilaire recorded top-15 finishes in the freshman race. Alejos crossed ninth in 18:42, while St. Hilaire was 15th overall in 19:01.
 
Sophomore Lucas Vargas was fourth overall in the Open race in 18:44, while Josiah Colburt was 12th (19:20) and James Perkins was 13th (19:26).
