Football's Byrne Participates in Teen Suicide Prevention Campaign

Brophy football player Brandon Byrne was selected to participate in Teen Lifeline’s 5th Teen Suicide Prevention Awareness Campaign this September. He shared PSA videos of help and hope on his social platforms this month to reduce the number of attempted suicides among his peers. This campaign also amplifies the traditions of Arizona high school football, a classic September school-wide activity that strengthens communities.

“It meant the world to me to participate,” said Byrne, who had multiple sacks last week against Sunnyslope. “Coach only picks one player a year. Suicide awareness is something that has been big in my family. It is important to spread the word and let people know through a safe context.”
