Brophy Defeats Horizon

The Brophy swimming and diving team posted a 116-69 victory over Horizon Thursday at the Reese Aquatic Center to improve to 3-0 on the dual season. The Bronco event winners included Asher Gomez (200 Free), Teddy Neilson (200 IM), Sean Kennedy (1m Diving), 200 Free Relay (Mark Heffern, Aiden Kelly, Neilson, Gomez), 400 Free Relay (Jackson Douglas, Heffern, Neilson, Finn Conley).
 
Gomez won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:47.90 as the Broncos swept the top three positions. Neilson took the 200-yard individual medley in 1:58.27, while junior Sean Kennedy won the 1-meer diving with a score of 225. 
 
The Broncos won two relays starting with 200-yard free relay with Mark Heffern, Aiden Kelly, Neilson and Gomez touching in 1:30.75. Douglas, Heffern, Neilson and Finn Conly won the 400-yard free relay in 3:19.26.
 
Other top performances included second-place finishes in the 200-yard medley relay by Nico Wood, Neilson, Conley, and Tristan Oudman (1:40.68), the 50-yard freestyle by Oudman in 23.01, and the 100-yard breaststroke by Wood in 1:01.78.
