Lacrosse Playoff Brackets Set; Broncos Earn No. 1 Seed

The Brophy Varsity lacrosse team earned the No. 1 seed in the Arizona Lacrosse League playoffs set to begin this week. The Broncos have a double bye into the quarterfinals. They will host the winner of the first-round matchup of No. 8 Oro Valley and No. 9 Corona del Sol at Graham Family Sports Campus on Friday, April 28 at 7 p.m.

Brophy (14-6) finished the season at 9-1 in the Grand Canyon Conference with an eight-game winning streak dating to Feb. 28 loss to Perry 12-9. Brophy out-scored its opponents 129-35 over that stretch. 

The top four seeds include Perry is the No. 2 seed. No. 3 Catalina Foothills and No. 4 Notre Dame Prep.

The Play-In game schedule included No. 13 Brophy College Prep V2 at Cactus Shadows on Monday at 6:30 p.m., while No. 14 Chaparral hosts No. 14. Xxx. First-round action takes place on April 26.
