Soccer Wins Premier Region Title with Victory over Hamilton

The Broncos defeated Hamilton 2-1 on Senior Night to win the 6A Premier Region title behind goals by Mason Snailum and Attila Toth. 

Brophy finished region play with a 4-0 record with Perry and Hamilton tied for second at 2-1-1. The Broncos are 11-1 in 6A Conference play, and 15-1-2 overall. They are ranked No. 15 in the nation by MaxPreps and No. 1 in Arizona. 

After recognizing the 17 seniors in a pregame ceremony, the Broncos were in for a tough battle with Hamilton, who had tied Perry earlier in the week. They took the lead on a penalty kick by Mason Smailum for a 1-0 lead. Brophy extended the lead in the second half with a second penalty kick converted by Attila Toth.

Hamilton scored with 2:30 left in the game but failed to get the equalizer despite several changes.
