Mountain Biking Second in Opener in Flagstaff
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - In their season opener in Flagstaff this weekend, the Broncos had a strong performance, finishing second in the team standings for the South Conference.
Jackson Pohlad led the team points for the Broncos with a 7th-place finish in the Varsity division. Aaron Borquez (Junior Varsity) and Kolbe Morgan (Freshman) took to the podium, earning fifth in their respective categories. The breakout performance of the day went to sophomore Edwin Beltran for his second-place finish in JV category 2.
The Gators put five racers on the podium, helping the Brophy/Xavier squad fall just 7 points behind Buena High School (Sierra Vista) 4044 to 4051.
