2016-2017 Brophy Soccer Tryouts

If you would like to try out for the Freshmen, JV, or Varsity Soccer team, please read this information carefully. Below this information is a link to a tryout form that must be completed, as well as a link to the Physical and Consent forms.  

  • Tryouts for Freshmen, JV, and Varsity Soccer begin Monday October 31, 2016 and continue through Thursday November 3. Freshmen, JV, and Varsity teams will be selected Thursday evening and rosters will be posted Friday morning. Students who do not make a team are welcome to come and talk to the coach at that time
  • Tryouts will take place before school at the BSC from 6:00-7:30 a.m.
  • Any current Brophy student may try out for the Brophy soccer program
  • Juniors and seniors are not eligible to play for the JV team
  • Tryouts are CLOSED to family, friends, club coaches, and all others who are not part of the Brophy soccer coaching staff or Brophy athletic training staff. No one, aside from authorized personnel, is allowed inside the Brophy Sports Complex during tryouts
  • ALL students must have a Physical and Consent Form on file with Mr. White in order to tryout. NO EXCEPTIONS
  • Players must bring proper soccer or athletic attire to tryouts, including soccer shorts, soccer socks, shin guards, soccer cleats, and a white t-shirt with the player’s last name printed clearly in large letters on the front and back. Additionally, players should bring a pair of running shoes to tryouts
  • Players who make either Freshmen, JV, or  Varsity are allowed to continue playing with their club team through Thanksgiving Break. After that time, players are not allowed to play club soccer (including practices and games) until the end of the high school season
  • Soccer is a cut sport for all three levels - Freshmen, JV, and Varsity
