Nine State Champion Lacrosse Players Earn All-State Honors

The Brophy College Prep lacrosse team had nine players earn Arizona Lacrosse League All-State recognition.
 
Senior Ethan Swenson was named to the first team at midfield after ranking tied for fourth in the state with 27 goals and eighth overall in points (38). Defensive standouts juniors Charlie McGinnis and Connor Rassas were first-team defense selections and sophomore Harrison Yu was the first team at SSDM. Rassas led the state with assists, while McGinnis had 15 in his nine games. Yu ranked sixth in the state in ground balls,
 
Sophomore attack Laird Miller, midfielder Erik Volfson, and long stick midfielder Noah Burdick were named to the all-state second team. Miller led the state with 41 goals and ranked third in points with 46. Volfson ranked seventh in goals with 27 and was tied for second in assists with 18. Burdick was tied for eighth with 44 ground balls. 
 
Senior Thomas Haak and sophomore Taub Baldyga were honorable mention selections. Haak led the state in assists with 26 on the season while ranking fourth in points (43) and 10th in goals with 17.
 
Brophy won the Arizona Lacrosse League state championship for the second year in a row in 2023.
