Get to Know: Soccer's #6 Julian Dubash

Julian Dubash is a returning letter-winner for the Broncos and has been a member of the program for three seasons. He is undecided on his college choice but has an opportunity to play NCAA Division II soccer.

How is the soccer season going for you?
“It has been good. We have only lost once. I judge my performance on how the team is doing. If the team plays well, that is all that matters at the end of the day. We are doing well. We had the setback against Mesa but I think we came back from that and improved.”

What do you see as your role on the team?
“My role is controlling the tempo of the game, organizing the midfield, and distributing passes.”

What are your college plans?
I am not sure at this point. I have a Division 2 offer from Walsh University (Ohio) or attending Arizona State University.”

What has it meant to you to be part of the Brophy program?
“The overall culture in being prideful of what we do and striving to be better is a big thing for me.”

Why do you wear No. 6?
“I wear No. 6 because a lot of my favorite players have played as a No. 6 and in my position.”

What has been your favorite moment of your career?
“Winning the Corona del Sol tournament was fun. But, I think the original win in the season opener against DV (Desert Vista) gave me a generally good feeling about the season. There was something that felt good about it.”
