Football Gets First Win at Regis Jesuit

Sophomore Julian Ferrari had a fumble return for a touchdown and ran back a punt for a score as Brophy got their first win of the season, 44-18 at Regis Jesuit in Colorado.

Ferrari’s scoop and score from 26 yards got the Broncos on the board in the first quarter. Regis (0-3)  answered with a scoring drive but missed the extra point. Senior Harrison Chambers broke a 61-yard scoring play to extend the lead to 14-6. He finished with six carries for 107 yards and the third 100-yard rushing game of his career.

The Broncos scored three times in the second quarter. Quarterback Case Vanden Bosch found the end zone for the first of two rushing touchdowns and hit senior Devin Fitzgerald for the second consecutive game. Ferrari’s 43-yard punt return was sandwiched between the two scores for a 34-6 lead at the break.

Vanden Bosch rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns and completed 12-for-16 for 108 yards. The Broncos saw 10 different receivers make a catch as four quarterbacks saw action.

John Michael led the team with nine tackles, with three for loss. Mason Fees added nine tackles, and senior James Pike had six tackles.
