Hale Hansen had 25 points, and Daylen Sharper notched a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds with six assists as No. 8 Brophy posted a 71-58 win over No. 9 Mesa in a rematch of the 2025 6A Conference State Championship game.
Oliver Burbach added 11 points inthe win as Brophy improved to 19-7 on the season.
Brophy advances to the AIA Open Quarterfinals to face top seed Sunnyslope on Friday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. at Sunnyslope. Sunnyslope defeated No. 16 Mountain Pointe 58-43.
Other winners included No. 5 Sandra Day O’Connor over No. 21 Central 91-77, No. 4 Basha over No. 20 Liberty 80-73, No. 3 St. Mary’s over No. 19 Campo Verde 64-38, No. 6 Highland over No. 11 Willow Canyon 77-68, No. 10 Higley over No. 7 Deer Valley 58-56 and No. 2 Millennium over No. 15 Chandler 81-54.
