TRACK & FIELD / Brophy had representatives at three meets this weekend, finishing sixth at the Puma with 50 points and winning the Frosh/Soph Black Hawk Classic at Williams Field with 212.5 points
Jake Shaff won two individual events (100, 11.11; 200, 22.46) and participated in two winning relays - 4x100 (Julian Ferrari, Ezra Benjamin, Shaff, and Dillon Cole) and 4x400 (pictured-Warren Park, Dillon Cole, Shaff, Lucas Woods) at the Black Hawk. Cole was second in the 100m (11.19), and Park was second in the 400m (52.19). Paul Shamoun was second in the 1600m (4.55.87). Daesung Kim won the 110mh (18.51) with Woods second (19.69), while Luke Cundiff won the 300mh (44.89) and Kim was second (46.35). The 4x800m relay (Sean St. Hilaire, Matteo Cadena, Julian Maiden, Fordham Wong) crossed second in 9:36.31. Logan Hllavin cleared 9-0 in the pole vault to finish second, and Chase Podesta threw 41.11.75 for second in the shot put.)
At the Puma Rise and Shine at Perry, junior Garrett Larsen won the 300mh in 38.78. Senior Tanner Bice won the high jump at 6-4 with Jake O’Riley second with an identical 6-4 clearance, and senior Andrew Montz was second in the discus at 148-9.
At the Field of Dreams at Red Mountain, freshman Hudson Hensley led three javelin participants in third overall at 179-6.
