Soccer’s Odden and Kelly Earned Player and Coach of the Year to Highlight Region Honors

Senior goalkeeper J.P. Odden was named the Central Region Player of the Year, and his coach, Marc Kelly, was tabbed the Region Coach of the Year among 10 region accolades announced by the AIA.

Odden allowed just nine goals on the season and recorded 15 shutouts. His shootout performance against Verrado helped the Broncos into the semifinals, stopping two of the first three penalty kicks to seal the victory.

Kelly led the Broncos to a 21-3 season, advancing to the AIA Open Division semifinals. The team finished with a Top 100 ranking by MaxPreps and was listed as high as No. 12 in the nation. The Broncos were No. 2 in the state by MaxPreps behind only Sunnyside.

Defender Alex King, midfielder Parker Dixon, and forward Joey Fritz were named to the first team. Fritz led the team with 14 goals on the season.

Defender Jared Garcia and midfielder Jack Quinn were second-team selections.

Nico McGalla, Shubhan Kulkarni, and Eli Hagan were honorable mention selections.

It was the second honor for Kulkarni and Quinn, who were second-team choices in 2025. King and Garcia were also honored for the second time after honorable mention accolades in 2025.
