Rugby Falls in State Championship

The Brophy rugby team lost to Scottsdale on Saturday, 55-28. The Broncos were the defending champions.

“We got beat by a better team, and they were more physical than us,” said Head Coach Tim Moran. “From where the team came in with 15 new players this year, it was an amazing job. We need to improve in our grit standpoint. We did it in the end, scoring two tries and showing that they wouldn't give up. I am proud of them.”

The Man of the Match was Jackson Rawls.

The Broncos got tries from Donovan Dailey, Michael Bulmann, and Jackson Rawls.

Carter Weyrauch finishes the season as the all-time leading point scorer in program history. Brandon Bueno Thompson broke the single try record with 16, resetting Race Bates' mark of 14 from 2024.
