The Brophy Athletics department celebrated six new collegiate commitments during the 2026 Spring College Commitment Celebration in Robson Gymnasium on April 15.
The signees include Carsten Ellingson, Volleyball, Concordia University Wisconsin; Joseph Jarrett-Torres, Swimming, Adams State University; Josh Murar, Rowing, Gonzaga University; Vinny Noble, Baseball, Trinity University; J.P. Odden, Soccer, Phoenix College; Noah Swetlishoff, Swimming, Franklin and Marshall College.
It brings the total to 30 student-athletes from the Class of 2026 who have made collegiate commitments.
Ellingson has been a four-year player for the Broncos. He was selected to the 2025 All-Central Region honorable mention team and the Sports360 AZ All-Academic team. He also played on the inaugural Beach Volleyball team in the fall and on the Broncos' football team for two seasons.
Jarrett-Torres transferred to Brophy from Apollo High School two seasons ago. He has swam at two AIA State Championships for Brophy and helped the Broncos to back-to-back team titles. He finished 13th in the 200 individual medley (2:00.81) and 15th in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.87) in 2025.
Noble has been a four-year player and a two-year varsity player. He has hit .286 this season over 14 games. He has produced three multi-hit games over his last six appearances, hitting .466 over that stretch. He hit his first varsity home run against Perry on April 9.
Swetlishoff was a three-year letterwinner and an All-Academic selection during his Brophy career. He swam at the 2025 AIA Division I State Championships in the 100 freestyle, placing 16th overall in 49.27. He helped the Broncos to the 2025 AIA Division I State Championship.
