Baseball’s Jack Lafflam Earns ABCA All-Region Honors
Recent graduate Jack Lafflam ‘25 was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-Region 7 Team.
The 2025 High School All-Region teams have been announced by the American Baseball Coaches Association and Rawlings Sporting Goods, featuring the top prep players in the nation. The ABCA/Rawlings High School All-Region teams are selected by the ABCA High School All-America & Coach of the Year Committee.
He went 6-2 on the season with a 1.21 ERA with 74 strikeouts over 11 starts. He had two complete games, a 1-0 loss to the eventual state champion Corona del Sol and a playoff win over Queen Creek. He allowed one or fewer earned runs in nine of 11 starts, recording a season-best 10 strikeouts against Millennium. He had six or more strikeouts in eight of 11 games.
Lafflam is the first Brophy player named All-Region by the ABCA since Chad McClanahan in 2016. Current AD Josh Garcia ‘07 and teammates Rico Torrez and Matt Newman were named to the team in 2007 and Chris Beall was selected in 2012.
He has committed to play at the University of Arizona in the fall.
Lafflam was also named a National High School Baseball Coaches Association Academic All-American and to the Arizona Republic All-Arizona team.
