Baseball is No. 5 Seed in 6A Conference Tournament

The Brophy baseball team (14-11-1) was chosen as the No. 5 seed and will host No. 12 Perry on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Opus Field in the 6A Tournament bracket announced Thursday. The rest of the “A” bracket includes No. 1 Corona del Sol hosting No. 16 Sunnyside, No. 8 O’Connor hosting No. 9 Queen Creek, and No. 4 Red Mountain hosting No. 13 Tolleson Union. Tickets are $10 and $5.

The “B” bracket includes No. 2 Hamilton hosting No. 15 Liberty, No. 7 Desert Vista hosting No. 10 Mountain View, No. 6 Millennium hosting No. 11 Mountain Ridge, and No. 3 Casteel hosting No. 14 Higley.

The Broncos finished the season winning seven of their final eight games in-state. They finished second in the Central Region behind top seed Corona del Sol.
