Sharper Named MVP at Annual Banquet

The Brophy Basketball team held its annual team banquet on Monday night. Junior Daylen Sharper was named the Most Valuable Player as voted by the team. 

Here is a breakdown of the team awards:
  • Most Improved Player: Xander Koehler
  • Jay Bilas “Toughness” Award: Ayden Madi
  • Fr. “Dutch” Olivier – Teammate Award: Xander Koehler
  • Defensive Player of the Year (tie): Malaki Garnica, Ayden Madi, & Luke Wieskamp
  • Offensive Player of the Year: Ryan Burbach
  • Most Valuable Player: Daylen Sharper
The statistical awards included senior Kai Hogan, leading the team in highest free-throw and three-point percentage. 
 
Here is a breakdown of the statistical leaders:
  • Rebounding: Ryan Burbach
  • Assists: Daylen Sharper
  • Highest FT % (with 20 attempts or more): Kai Hogan (89.5%)
  • Highest FG %: Xander Koehler (70.4%).
  • Highest 3PT % (with 20 attempts or more): Kai Hogan (36.6%)
  • Charge leader: Rocket Schwertley with 9 charges taken.
