Alum Michael Hemmerlin ‘18 to Direct Mountain Biking Program
Brophy alum Michael Hemmerlin ‘18 will take over as the head coach of the Brophy mountain biking program.
Hemmerlin was the team captain for the Brophy mountain biking club during his time on campus and competed all four seasons, winning 48 gold medals in state competition. He received the National Interscholastic Cycling Association Trek Bicycle All-Star Student-Athlete Award as a senior.
He raced for Marian University in college and was a two-time individual national champion. He was the team captain and led his team to four national podium finishes in 2022-23.
He races for the Landis Trek team and is a certified coach with the Arizona Cycling Association.
