The Brophy lacrosse team defeated Notre Dame Prep 19-3 in the Arizona Lacrosse League State Championship game at Arcadia High School. It was the program's fifth consecutive title and the 10th in school history.
Tate LaCoss had five goals in the game, and Finn Gest scored four goals and tallied seven assists. Carter Fitzgerald scored three times and added an assist, while Eli Friedman scored twice and had three assists. Jack Grisoni had 16 faceoff wins and 11 ground balls.
It was the 51st consecutive win for the program in regular and postseason league play.
Brophy led 4-1 after the first period, led by two Fitzgerald goals and two scores in the final 35 seconds. They extended the lead to 12-3 at the half and did not allow a goal in the second half to post a 19-3 advantage.
