Soccer Earns No. 5 Seed in AIA Open Division Playoffs

Brophy is the No. 5 seed in the AIA Open Division playoff bracket announced on Saturday. The Broncos will host No. 28 Thunderbird on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Graham Family Sports Campus. 

Brophy (18-2) won the 6A Central Region title with a 4-0 record and went 11-0 in 6A Conference play and 11-1 in Arizona regular season game. Brophy won  the Rams Tournament for the second consecutive season to start the season and posted a 2-1 record at the 9th Annual SoCal College Showcase.

Brophy is playing in the Open Division playoffs for the first time. The winner of Wednesday’s game will play the winner of No. 12 Marana Mountain View and Nop 21 Westwood on Friday, Feb. 13 t 6 p.m.

Brophy has won nine state championships in school history.
