The Brophy Athletic department had another banner year in 2025-26, highlighted by three state championships, 10 Top-10 finishes, and seven Conference/Region titles.
Brophy won state titles in golf, swimming, and lacrosse, with each repeating after winning in 2024-25. Head Coach Pat Harbeson’s program won its fifth consecutive title, while swimming extended its state record with the 44th in school history. For the golf team, the win marks the program’s 11th state title, tying for the most by an individual school in state history, and the first back-to-back championships since 1993–94.
The Broncos recorded 10 top-10 finishes overall. Football Head Coach Jason Jewell led the Broncos into the AIA Open Division bracket for the first time in school history as the No. 5 seed and won a first-round game. The cross country team garnered its 18th consecutive season with a top-10 finish at the state championships. Basketball played in the AIA Open Division playoffs for the third straight season before losing to eventual state champion Sunnyslope in the quarterfinals. Soccer reached the 6A Conference State Semifinals, and tennis finished as the runner-up in Division I.
The seven conference/region titles included a trophy for the Varsity 2 lacrosse team, which won the Cactus Conference title and made a playoff appearance, and for the Overwatch team, which won the Mountain Region Championship.
Senior Case Vanden Bosch was named the AIA Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the 6A Conference, and the department recorded a school-record 269 AZSports260 All-Academic honors.
