Baseball Hosts the 2026 Central Phoenix JV Baseball Classic

The Brophy Baseball program will host the Central Phoenix JV Baseball Classic June 5-6. Games will be played at Opus Field on the Brophy campus. The field includes Brophy, Casteel, Hamilton, and Pinnacle.

The seeding after pool play games will be determined by the head-to-head runs allowed and runs scored, setting the stage for the championship bracket. The third-place game will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, followed by the championship game at 3:15 p.m. 

Brophy kicks off the tournament with a game against Hamilton at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.

Tournament Rules
  • Wood bat
  • No new inning after 1:55 
  • 6 hitters max per inning: If inning reaches hitter max with R on 3B = 1 run 
    • (championship game, play straight up)
  • EH allowed (10 max)
  • Pool play games can end in a tie
  • NFHS Rules, including AIA Pitch Count Rules 
  • Run rule: 15 after 3, 10 after 4, 8 and 5

Casteel vs. Hamilton, 6 p.m.
