September 10-11: Prescott Invitational & Manresa Retreat

Please eat a nutritious breakfast prior to departure
6 AM: Leave Brophy from front of school
2 PM: Leave Prescott for Manresa Retreat (Sedona)

Race Location: Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Prescott)

Coaches meeting 8:45 AM in the Hospitality Ramada
Novice Race 9:30 AM (Freshmen & Sophomores only)
Junior/Senior Race (not in top 7) after Novice Race
Varsity Races (4 flights) begin at 10:50 AM

Directions to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University: 3700 Willow Creek Road, Prescott, AZ 86301

Drive north on I-17 to Cordes Junction. Exit onto Hwy 69, northwest toward Prescott. Drive NW past the town of Dewey-Humboldt.
One of the stoplights between Dewey-Humboldt and Prescott Valley is the intersection of Hwy 69 and Fain Road. (On your left will be Prescott Country Club and a Maverick gas station.) Make a right on Fain Road, which will take you behind Prescott Valley.
Fain Road will become Hwy 89A. Go about 11 miles on Fain Road and Highway 89A, to Willow Creek Road in Prescott.
Turn left onto Willow Creek Road toward Prescott. ERAU will be on the right side about a mile down the road.

Varsity race format: Scored according to the fastest cumulative team time. To be eligible for the team championship, a team must have seven runners. The Varsity meet will be run in four separate flights. Flight one will have runners 7 and 6, flight two will have runners 5 and 4, flight three will have runners 3 and 2, and flight four will have each team’s #1 runner. Each boys’ and girls’ race will run concurrently. Any non-finishers will be given a time of 59 minutes for team scoring purposes.

Awards presented at approximately 1:10 PM:

Varsity Races: Medals will be awarded to the top eight finishers in each level.
Team championship and runner-up trophy will also be given.
Novice & Jr/Sr Medals to the top 16 boys and girls in each race.

Extra set of clothing including PJs
You may bring your electronics but cell reception is weak

Meals provided:

Saturday lunch: We will have an assortment of items to make sandwiches at the meet. There will be lunch meats, and cheese. We will have snacks and drinks as well. Parents, if you are making the trip to Prescott, please lend a hand with making the sandwiches.
Saturday dinner: Dinner provided by the staff at Manresa
Sunday breakfast: Breakfast provided by the staff at Manresa
