The Brophy golf team won the AIA Division I State Championship for the second consecutive season with a 12-stroke victory over Hamilton (549-561). The Broncos shot 277 (-11) on the second round, with each of their top four under par for the day and in the top 10 individuals. Junior Asher Nelson and sophomore Hank Miller tied for second at 135 (-9). Senior Mateo Berastegui was a five-under par 139 in fifth place, while junior Jack Langbein was seventh overall at 140 after his second consecutive round of 70 (-2).
Brophy repeated as state champions for the first time since 1993-94 and captured their 11th state title in school history, tying Thatcher and Arcadia for the record.
