Brophy won the Northeast Valley Championships for the second consecutive season with 114 points to edge second-place Sunnyslope (97). Senior Will DeSpong won the 110m hurdles in 14.53, senior Darius Alberty took the javelin at 188-7, and the 4x400m relay won in 3:22.13 with Teagan Martinez, Jake Shaff, Will DeSpong, and Garrett Larsen. Junior Tanner Bice was third in the triple jump with a school record mark of 44-8 to highlight the night.
Larsen had a big meet, finishing third in the 200 (22.32) and 400 meters (48.93), while Josiah Colburt was fourth in the 800 meters (1:57.67), and senior Santiago Sanchez was fourth in the 1600 meters (4:24.17). The 4x100m relay also took third overall. Bice also finished seventh in the high jump at 6-2.
Junior Rylan Umphrey won the long jump on Monday (22-1.75), giving the Broncos four event winners in the meet overall.
