The Brophy football team posted a 45-14 win over Corona del Sol on Senior Night. Brophy got two touchdowns from Daylen Sharper and a 53-yard score from Nathan Benzie, and rushing touchdowns from Case Vanden Bosch, Carlos Estrada and Harrison Chambers.
Brophy is now 7-1 on the season and 2-0 in the Central Region standings.
Sharper opened the scoring with a first-quarter touchdown from Vande Bosch for the 7-0 lead. The Broncos broke the game open in the second with four touchdowns. Vanden Bosch had a 15-yard scoring scamper, and Estrada and Chambers capped drives in the end zone. Rylan Umphrey hit Sharper to push the lead to 35-0 at the half.
Sharper finished with a team-best tying three catches for 54 yards. Benzie led the team with 58 yards on his two catches and a touchdown in the third quarter. Christian Camarata also had three catches on senior night. The Bronco tallied 180 yards on the ground (6.4 avg.).
The defense tallied nine tackles for loss, led by two by Dominic Woods, among his team-best five tackles. The team had four sacks and an interception by Kaden MacKenzie.
Ryder Hampton completed the scoring with a 26-yard field goal in the fourth to go with his six PAts.
Brophy hosts Mountain Pointe in the regular season home finale on Friday at 7 p.m.
