Three Lacrosse Standouts Earn 2024 All-America Honors
Three outstanding players on the Brophy lacrosse team were recognized by USA Lacrosse: Noah Burdick and Deion James, who earned the prestigious All-America accolades, and Erik Volfson, who was named to the esteemed Academic All-America team.
Long stick middle Noah Burdick was named the Arizona Lacrosse League’s Defensive Player of the Year and earned first-team honors. He tallied 88 ground balls, 38 caused turnovers, nine goals and 11 assists. He will play at Hofstra.
FOGO specialist Deion James recorded 358 faceoff wins with an amazing 75.7 win percentage. He added 17 ground balls with 13 goals and five assists.
Midfielder Erik Volfson, who also scored 63 goals and a team-best 38 assists, was an A.L.L. first-team selection and was named the A.L.L. Championship Game Offensive Player of the Game. He has signed with Lafayette.
