CORE AZ to Host Two Events — Generations for Justice and Asylum 101

CORE AZ is hosting two important community events — one in person at St. Francis Xavier Parish and one virtual via Zoom.
  • Generations for Justice — Thursday, Nov. 9,  6:30- 8 p.m. at SFX parish — is an opportunity for students and adults to participate in intergenerational conversations about how their faith moves them to work for justice and reconciliation. RSVP here.
  • Asylum 101 — On Tuesday, Nov. 14, 7-8 p.m. via Zoom, Kino Border Initiative’s Sister Tracy Horan will lead a panel of experts in a Zoom discussion of what you need to know about acting as a sponsor for migrants seeking asylum. There is no commitment to becoming a sponsor by attending, but it is great information for you to know (and inform others about) in case you are able to help these people who are in need and who want to be our neighbors and friends. The Zoom link is here.
If you have any questions, contact Ms. Maggie Lauder in Brophy’s Office of Faith and Justice.
