Baseball’s Adler Commits to Bethany Lutheran College
Brophy senior righthander Adler De La Rosa has made a commitment to attend Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minn., and play baseball.
“Bethany will help me in the long run by not only giving me the opportunity to play baseball for the next 4 years but also have a great education,” said De La Rosa. “The program and coaches are there for the players and to help everyone get better and strive for the goal of winning a championship.”
He will be playing for Head Coach Ryan Kragh, who had led the program for 19 years. He led the team to the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference title and an NCAA Tournament regional berth this season.
De La Rosa made three appearances for the Broncos in 2023.
“I'm excited that Adler is going to get an opportunity to pitch at the next level,” said Head Coach Josh Garcia. “It's been great to see Adler's progression throughout the year as he worked tirelessly to improve his pitching mechanics and velocity. Adler was one of the most loyal young men I have coached and I'll always be thankful for his commitment to the program and his teammates. I'm looking forward to watching him develop as a pitcher at Bethany Lutheran.”
De La Rosa, who will study business with an emphasis in finance, was a four-year member of the program and graduated from Brophy this weekend.
“This commitment and being able to play at an exceptional program like Bethany means the world to me,” said De La Rosa. “To have the chance to wear a uniform and compete every day is something I am extremely grateful for. Even though it is a small school I find that the facilities and training there are top-tier and are put in place to give us the opportunity to get better as a team.”
He is the 16th player from the Class of 2023 to make a collegiate commitment to play sports and the fourth from the baseball program.
