Four Brophy College Prep baseball players have been recognized by the Arizona Baseball Coaches Association with postseason honors.
Junior Jack Meissner was named an AZBCA All-State second-team selection after leading the team in hitting at .494 with a team-best 27 RBI and 25 runs scored. He had 16 multi-hit games including a season-best four hits against Pinnacle in the state playoff game. He recorded a .550 on-base percentage and 1.148 OPS on the season. He was All-Premier Region
Seniors JT Craig and Lucas Franz will play in the 6A Conference All-Star game on the South squad on May 28 at Noon at Goodyear Ballpark. Craig hit .357 on the season, the third-best average on the team, with a team-best seven home runs while tying for second-best on the team with 21 RBI. Franz was second on the team in batting average at .375 and was named the Premier Region Defensive Player of the Year.
Senior Jack Budnick was chosen for the AZBCA Academic All-Star game on Saturday, May 27 at 10 a.m. at Goodyear Ballpark. He posted a 1-2 record with a 2.04 ERA in 10 appearances with four starts over 26.0 innings pitched with 22 strikeouts.
