Senior Strider Aston Resets Javelin School Record

Senior Strider Aston had a personal best throw of 169-6 at the Southwest Javelin Showcase at Seton Catholic High School to finish fourth overall on Saturday. It is the second time he broke the school record this season and the third time it has been broken, improving the mark set by Darius Albert of 167-5 at the Chandler Rotary. Aston set the mark with a throw of 157-5 in the first meet of the season.

Senior Zach Loiselle finished third in the 800 meters at the Hohokam Invitational, finishing third overall and ranking eighth overall in the state. He also ranks among the top 120 in both the 1600 and 3200 meters.

Alberty had a personal best in the 110m hurdles at 15.95. Aston was fourth in the discus with a personal best of 158-9.

The Broncos will compete at the Our Lady of Victory Invitational at Notre Dame Prep on Thursday before the Northeast Valley Championships on April 26 and 28.
