Baseball Opens Best of the West Tournament with 10-0

Michael Chandler and Matt Maledon combined for a two-hit 10-0 shutout over Thunder Ridge (Colo.) in the opening game for the Brophy in the Best of the West Tournament hosted by Sunrise Mountain. The Broncos play a doubleheader at Sunrise Mountain on Tuesday, including games against Cherokee Trail (Colo.) at 10 a.m. and Canyon del Oro at 1 p.m.
JT Craig and George Smith each had three hits and two runs batted in, while Jack Meissner and Lucas Franz added two hits each. Chandler (1-0) picked up his first win over the season, allowing just two hits, and a walk with three strikeouts over 3.1 innings. Maledon pitched 1.2 innings to close out the game, strikeout out four without allowing a hit.
Brophy improved to 7-3 on the season

Parking at Sunrise Mountain
Parking will be in our main parking lot off of 83rd Ave.  The address to the school is below.  Our school will be in session since our spring break is the following week, so if you have a game on Monday or Tuesday, you will need to park in the designated area which is located on our old outdoor basketball courts next to our parking lot.
