Volleyball Team Posts Five-Set Win over O’Connor
The Brophy volleyball team posted a come-from-behind five-set win over Sandra Day O’Connor on Thursday, the defending state and national champions. The scores were 21-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-19, and 15-11.

“Coming out of the Wolf Howl, we found that we had some resilience,” said Head Coach Tony Oldani. “That was tested tonight. The middles had their best match of the season. We got great play out of guys that have not played well so far at the right time.”

The Broncos (11-1) fell behind 2-0, dropping a pair of close sets 25-21 and 25-22. But they responded in the third and regained momentum to close it out 25-19 and 15-11.

Connor Oldani had 26 kills in the match, Carson Collier-Ehrich added 10 and Teddy Churchill knocked down 17 kills. Colin Zimmerman recorded five aces in the win.

The Broncos play Sunnyslope on Friday before heading to Las Vegas for a tournament next week.
