Get to Know: Basketball's #3 Arman Madi

Arman Madi has been a four-year player for the Broncos on the varsity team. He has committed to play for Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff next fall. He enjoys playing video games in his free time. 
 
What does the term Hoopcoming mean to you?
“It is an exciting event that brings the community together to watch an exciting basketball game.”
 
You have made your commitment to NAU. What are you most excited about playing for the Lumberjacks?
“I am excited about my mom being able to come to the games. That will be pretty awesome. I am excited about playing with my future teammates and the environment of Division I basketball.”
 
What are your goals for the last month as you push toward the playoffs?
“We want to become the best team we can before the playoffs. Obviously, the goal is to win a state championship.”
 
What has the experience of sharing the season with your brother been like?
“It has meant everything to me. I have been helping him and coaching him along the way, showing him how it goes. Hopefully, when he is a senior he will be able to play Division I basketball as well.”
 
What is your favorite Brophy basketball moment?
“My favorite moment has been the trips to Manresa.”
 
What is your biggest strength for this team?
“My biggest strength is my experience. I have the most experience on the team, bringing that to them and leading them throughout the season. We have a young group of guys.”
 
What did you learn from the playoffs last year that will help you this year?
“I learned everything goes away and resets in the playoffs. It is a whole new game. You have to go back to your roots and not take your foot off the gas.”

If you could live in a book, TV show, or movie, where would you live: Outer Banks. 
What animal best represents you: A dog. 
What is your greatest achievement: Playing college basketball.
If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future: Future.
What teacher has inspired you the most: 
Coach Hooten.
What is your favorite holiday: Christmas.
If you won the lottery, what would you buy: A new house.
What’s your favorite dinner: Steak and mashed potatoes.

Michael Jordan.

My Dad.
