Phoenix Diocese Opens Office of Mental Health Ministry

In December, the Diocese of Phoenix opened the Office of Mental Health Ministry. The office is located on the first floor of the downtown Diocesan Pastoral Center. Bishop John Dolan noted that the threefold purpose of the office will be education, accompaniment of those suffering and advocacy for better policy and funding from the government and other sources. Bishop Dolan, who has lost several family members to suicide, has spoken frankly about the need for additional mental health support. You can find his talks, as well as links to mental health resources here. Brophy is committed to continuing these conversations and to providing the spaces and resources needed to any student who is struggling with his mental health.
